TEESSIDE University is hoping to be the next new Youtube smash with it’s ‘Now that’s what I call graduation’ video.
Filmed in Middlesbrough’s Town Hall, the funky video has delighted both under-graduates and post-graduates alike with over 4,500 hits in just one week!
The film aims to put Teesside University on the map and celebrate both the new name of the university and it’s brand-new title of ‘University of the Year’.
Director, Dominic Dunn said that everyone involved in the project thoroughly enjoyed the experience andare very pleased with the result.
The footage is not the only thing to go down a storm online, as the music has also received great praise.
The track was created by student Christian Onwochei, 20, who is currently studying for a BSC Music Technology degree here at Teesside University.
This budding musical marvel had an album on sale in both HMV and Zavvi which sold out twice in the Northeast.
Christian said: “The song used in the video was from a mix tape I featured on last year with Jayshawn, an artist from Atlanta US.”
“Since the success of my debut album I’ve been working hard on my next one which is due for release next year and my next step now is to find a manager/agent and promoter.”
“The video is cool, it’s something different and it’s things like this that make the university stand out amongst all the others.”
