Writing showcased for Creative Arts Week

Creative Writing students have showcased their work as part of Teesside University’s Creative Arts Week.

‘Caberet of the spoken word’ saw past and present students taking to the stage with extracts of poetry and drama they have written throughout their course.

Poetry, verse and script readings were interspersed with folk music from Irish singer Andy Broderick, and recent work by Teesside University’s writer-in-residence Andy Whilloughby.

Helping those who help heroes

A Teesside woman whose brother was seriously injured serving in Afghanistan is taking part in a marathon sponsored walk to  raise money for those who have helped her family.

The biggest night of the year arrived for the fine art and design students as they showcased their work on the opening night of the Creative Arts week. More

 

It’s the end of the academic year and students from Teesside University are celebrating with the annual Creative Arts week.

The upcoming event, this year titled ‘Bespoke’, runs from today until Friday.

It showcases the work created by final year Arts and media students. More
