Oldest Language in ‘THE WORLD’

‘TAMIL’ Language is one of the oldest language in the world.

Tamil language spoken by about 100 million people and also recognised as an official language in Sri Lanka and Singapore. Tamil is the classical languages that has survived all the way through to the modern world.

Forming part of the Dravadian language family, which included a number of languages native mostly to southern and eastern India, it is also the official language of the state of Tamil Nadu.

Tamil origin is on 300 BC. The earliest example of the language can be traced back to 300 BC, but its origin is believed to be during 2500 BC or so. Subramania Bharati as knows as “Bharatiyar” was an Indian writer, poet and journalist. “Mahakavi Bharati” he was a pioneer of modern Tamil poetry and is considered one of the greatest Tamil literally figures of all time.


Tamil language was spread by him with his books, article and also poet. Apart from that, the Tamil writing system evolved from the Brahmi script. The shape of the letters changed enormously over time, eventually stabilising when printing was introduced in the 16th century.

Tamil is not only an international language; it is like mother of all language in the world. “Root Tamil words exist in many languages of the world in various modifications but retaining the semantic meaning. In the world language’s, it is difficult to find a basic word that does not has some link with the Tamil world.
