The Co-Operative Gaming Show is one of many shows set to feature during the broadcast.

“I felt it was important that whilst also having fun we also give something back to the community that surrounds the university,” he said.

“The MFC Foundation do some fantastic work with people from all sorts of backgrounds in the Teesside area.

“They were chosen by a vote of Click Teesside volunteers from a range of local and national charities. I for one am really pleased that we are working with the foundation.”

During the broadcast, there will be a number of shows available for people to listen to.

Andy said: “During the Clickathon event, you will be able to hear and see all of your favourite shows and some extra content too.”

“The whole event will be streamed via our normal channels, on our app, tune in and on our website, but there will also be a live video stream of the broadcast too.”

The occasion will see a return of past students who have contributed to Click over the years in what is set to be a busy two days.

Andy said: “We have some ex-Click Alumni joining us across the broadcast, some special guests and live musical performances too.”

“We have two hosts for the event, each doing a 24-hour broadcast each. I will be taking the first 24 hours before handing over to Charlotte Barnes who will bring the team home, finishing at 9 am on Saturday 27th January.”

Empty now but come the 25th of January, the studios in the University’s Aurora House building are sure to be occupied.

Listeners can contribute by donating to the MFC Foundation with a target of £1000 set out by Click Teesside.

Andy said: “People can donate in a couple of ways. Firstly we have a Virgin Giving page which people can visit to donate.”

“Or between the hours of 10 am and 2 pm on both Thursday 25th and Friday 26th January, you can visit our stand on the first floor of the Student Union and donate in person.”

By donating, you can be in with a chance to win some prizes. However, there are also other ways of entering.

Andy said: “We will be running 10 competitions with 10 prizes across the broadcast – some will be entered via social media, others via donations to MFC Foundation.”

“The prizes are looking really great, we will start announcing some of them in the week leading up to the broadcast.”
